A fun space for little ones to build their confidence on two wheels!
Our Family Cycle Zone offers a safe area for children to cycle, away from the hazards of traffic and pedestrians. With “roads” cut through the grass and road signs to mark the way, children can enjoy endless fun and freedom manoeuvring the roundabout and junctions!
Situated adjacent to the Bolton Abbey car park, the Cycle Zone is the perfect place for your little one to gain courage and find their balance. Please remember to bring your own bike.
After your ride, why not make the most of your visit with a walk down to the Priory, where the infamous stepping stones await. The ‘beach’ opposite provides the perfect picnic spot, where your little ones can make the most of nature’s playground.
Entry to the Family Cycle Zone is included with your car parking ticket. So enjoy a great value day out, for all the family, here at Bolton Abbey.
Useful Information
- This is a family event. There’s no minimum age to participate, but we do ask that you please supervise your children at all times.
- Please remember to bring your own bikes.
- Refreshments and lavatories are located at the top of the Bolton Abbey car park.
- Families are welcome to picnic in the Family Cycle Zone. Barbecues are welcome in Barden Field car park when open.
- The Family Cycle Zone may occasionally be closed on busy days.
- Dogs are very welcome but please keep them on a lead in consideration of fellow visitors.
