Bolton Abbey Estate has a deserved reputation as being home to one of the most stunning grouse shoots

The Bolton Abbey Grouse moors cover 13,500 acres of heather, made up of Barden West Moor and Barden East Moor.
The views over the surrounding landscape are dramatic with the river Wharfe dissecting the two moors.

Over 50 lines of traditional stone grouse butts ensure that high quality driven birds can be presented in all conditions. An exquisite lunch is served on the moor by the Devonshire Arms in one of our 10 lunch huts.
To create a seamless package, accommodation can be arranged at either the Devonshire Arms or the Devonshire Fell, both within half an hour of the first drive.

We also sell a small number of special and challenging pheasant days.

Enquiries

We recognise that each team of gun’s requirements are different and every effort is made to put together a day or days of shooting to suit the needs of the guns.
