Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II

On the day of Her Majesty The Queen’s funeral, Monday 19th September, the shops and cafes on the Bolton Abbey Estate will be closed. Toilets will remain open.

The car parks at Bolton Abbey Village and Riverside will be open, but will not be staffed and there will be no charge for parking. Strid Wood car park will be closed.

Books of condolence are available for signing in the Priory Church and the Village Shop and Post Office (except during the closure on 19th September). In line with guidelines issued by Buckingham Palace, the book in the Village Shop and Post Office will form part of the Devonshire Archive where it will be preserved for future generations.
