Self-Guided Educational Visits
Bolton Abbey is a stunning location for a self-guided educational school visit.
The ancient Priory Ruins and the River Wharfe are the perfect location to cover history, geography (tourism) and R.E. This area is within an easily walkable distance from the car park and lavatories.
Alternatively you can enjoy a walk alongside the river and through the wood to the Cavendish Pavilion and then return past the Priory Ruins to the car park. This route follows the Welly Walk (in place from May half term until October half term) providing the perfect opportunity for adventure.
